We are sad to announce the passing of Betty Jane Kirker of Newport. She died at the age of 66 on March 20, 2024.
She loved caring for others. She worked for several years for White River Area on Aging and was an EMT for White River EMS. Her hobbies include collecting Betty Boop memorabilia, reading and taking care of her best buddy Rusty her dog.
Betty was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Allie Mae Kirker and brother Dewayne Kirker.
A private ceremony was held and she was laid to rest at Gracelawn Cemetery. In lieu of of flowers, you can donate to Jackson County Animal Shelter or Cherokee Church of Christ.
