Jeffery accepts grant for Desha Community Park upgrades

Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery was in Little Rock today to accept a $100,000 FUN Park Grant to upgrade Desha Community Park. The grant, recommended by the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism’s Outdoor Recreation Grants Advisory Committee, will fund new play equipment and improve access to the park.

The FUN Park Grant program provides funding to Arkansas communities with populations under 2,500 to develop and improve public outdoor recreation facilities.
