Obituary: Norma Lee “Butch” Rainbolt

Norma Lee “Butch” Rainbolt, 84, of Pleasant Plains passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, in Batesville.  She was born October 13, 1939, to Norman and Pearl Alexander Thomas.  She was a homemaker and was a Baptist.

On May 4, 1957, she married the love of her life, Joe Rainbolt and just recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.

She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals play ball and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Norman and Pearl Thomas; a son, Randy Joe Rainbolt; three brothers, J.W. Thomas, Ricky Thomas and Junior Thomas and a sister, Norma Jean Scribner.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Rainbolt of the home, her daughter, Pam Hays (Joey) of Pleasant Plains; two grandchildren, Matt Hays (Erin Beth) and Ben Hays (Mandy) both of Pleasant Plains; five great-grandchildren, Piper Hays, Tenley Hays, Lydia Hays, Nora Hays and Layla Hays; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joey Hays, Matt Hays, Ben Hays, Charlie Smith and Danny Davis.
