Orvel L. Bise of Sherwood, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born September 3, 1938, in Beedeville, the son of Vester and Hester (Majors) Bise.
After graduating from Newport High School, Mr. Bise enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. He also worked for Lance Company as a salesman and supervisor for twenty years. Mr. Bise enjoyed playing and watching golf and fishing. He also loved watching old westerns.
Mr. Bise was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Woodruff) Bise; two sons, Randy Bise and Mickey Bise; and a daughter, Sandy Allen.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Bise, of Hot Springs Village; a daughter-in-law, Tina Bise, of Sherwood; one sister, Jean Johnson, of Batesville; nine grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
