Debbie (Dunn) Carpenter of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born August 18, 1955, in Oceanside, California, the daughter of Charles “Buddy Dunn and Loretta (Deason) Dunn.
Debbie was a 1973 graduate of Newport High School. Miss Debra Dunn was wed to Mr. Eddie Carpenter on January 26, 1973, and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage.
Debbie worked at Eddie’s Auto Parts as a bookkeeper alongside her husband, Eddie. She enjoyed gardening and yard work.
Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the center of her life, as she loved being “Grammy”. She rarely took any time for herself, preferring to focus her energy on her family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Eddie Carpenter of the home; three daughters, Leslie Williams and husband, Jeremy of Searcy, Missy Wood and husband, Eric, of Helena, and Whitney Loftin and husband, Josh of Grubbs; eight grandchildren, Maddie Williams, Zee Williams, Carson Wood, Molly Wood, Violet Wood, Jack Edward Loftin, Lexi Loftin, and Chase Loftin; two brothers, Danny Dunn of Tuckerman, and David Dunn of Newport; her step-mother, Etta Dunn of Diaz; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Ty Dunn, her sons-in-law, Jeremy Williams, Eric Wood, and Josh Loftin; and her grandchildren, Maddie, Zee, Carson, Molly, Violet, Jack Edward, Lexi, and Chase.
