Jerry Don Terrell Sr., 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 10, 2024. He was born on April 5, 1941, in Bethesda, AR, to the late Joseph Henry Terrell and Happel (Brooks) Terrell. Jerry graduated from Artesia High School in Artesia, New Mexico where he excelled at basketball. He worked in the oilfield for many years, and he was very strong, often carrying around five hundred pounds easily. Jerry was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was a pool shark, often making a living shooting. Above all else, Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those blessed to know him.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Janice (Nowak) Terrell; sons, Jerry Don Terrell II (Rose), Michael H. Terrell, and Aaron Trey Terrell; daughter, Kimberly Kaye Terrell; brother, Happel Dean Terrell (Shirley); grandchildren, Amber Dawn Terrell, Kassie Rose Terrell, Ph. D., Jerry Don Terrell III, Austin Terrell, Margaret Carlisle, Jovan Terrell, Caden Terrell, Isaiah Terrell, Mariah Terrell, Jonah Terrell, Andrew Harris, and Jarrad Terrell; and great-grandchildren, Jerry Don Terrell IV, Nicholas Terrell, and Eliza Terrell. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl Ally Terrell, Troy Lee Terrell, and Kae Deal Terrell; and sister, Bernadine Weis.
