Mindy Shaw (pictured above, right, with Citizens Bank’s Community Engagement Officer Ashley Engles), director at the Batesville Preschool, is the May recipient of the Citizens Bank “Above & Beyond” Award.
“With creating a thriving culture at Batesville Preschool as her top priority, Mindy takes her job to heart and puts the needs of others before her own.”
Shaw’s colleagues said:
- “Ms. Mindy exceeds her job title by filling many roles. She is a counselor, mentor, teacher, and nurse, just to name a few. Her door is always open, and she is willing to listen and help in any way she can. Ms. Mindy is a great leader in the community and does everything she can to make sure BPS is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.”
- “It is amazing to see the things Mindy has accomplished in her short amount of time at Batesville Preschool. She spends long hours working to better our campus. She is always ready to help in any way that is needed. I know the kids at the preschool are blossoming because of her.”
- “Mindy always has a smiling face. She is calm with the children, very involved, and listens. She spends extra hours beyond her required time to make sure tasks are complete, and the campus runs smoothly.”
Since 2012, Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District have recognized staff members who go “above and beyond” to realize the district’s mission to empower today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. Staff in all schools and departments throughout the district nominate award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Batesville School Board meeting each month.
