An Izard County man, who is accused of rape in two other counties, has been sentenced to 20 years for possession of child pornography.

Mountain Home media outlet KTLO reports Terry Lynn Johnson Jr., 41, of Horseshoe Bend, was given the sentence as part of a plea deal after he was charged in April of 2023 with 55 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing material depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

According to KTLO, Johnson is facing five counts of rape in two other counties (Fulton and Sharp) involving a 13-year-old female. Johnson is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail awaiting a July 10 trial on that county’s charges. His trial in Sharp County is scheduled to begin July 15.
