Obituary: Buddi Jean Wilson

Buddi Jean Wilson, 48, of Kennett, Missouri passed from this life on May 21, 2024.  She was born September 8, 1975, in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles “Buddy” and Billie Jean (Davis) Ward.

She loved to shop and cook, finding joy in creating delicious meals and exploring new stores. She adored children and was passionate about flowers, often spending time in her garden. Her favorite shows were “Golden Girls” and “Gunsmoke,” which she enjoyed watching. She had a unique obsession with the color pink and ink pens, she loved anything pink and was always collecting ink pens. As a dedicated social worker for DHS, she made a significant impact on many lives. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Buddy” Ward; her brother-in-law, Torrance Wilson; her grandfather, Billy R. Davis; her grandmother, Margaret Davis; her uncles, Bobby Joe Davis and Gerald Turner; her aunt, Brenda Turner.

She is survived by her mother, Billie Jean Ward of Kennett, Missouri; her husband, Michael Wilson of Helena, Arkansas; her sons, Michael Wilson of Kennett, Missouri and Jordan Wilson of Kennett, Missouri; her brothers, Billy Ward of Kennett, Missouri and Michael Ward of Choudrant, Louisiana; her sister, Renee Bearden of Orange, Texas; her brothers-in-law, Frederick (Tara) Wilson, Woodrow (Sherie) Wilson, Jackie (Khloe) Mills; her nieces, Katherine Ward and Tracy Ward; her nephew, Timothy Ward; her aunt, Anna Lee Davis of Bradford; and her special friend, Shurika Brown of Newport.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Woodrow Wilson, Billy Ward, Marquall Ralston, and Michael Wayne Ward.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with an interment at Coffeyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
