Jacob Lee Moody, 35, passed away on June 19, 2024, in Batesville, AR. He was born on July 16, 1988, in Newport, AR, to Joseph Moody and Nancy (Davis) Moody. Jacob was an avid motorcycle rider who rode every weekend with his friends. He also enjoyed hunting, kayaking, and helping his family with any handy work they needed done. He was comical, always picking at his family, and was a self-proclaimed ladies’ man. Jacob was also a Christian who loved to talk about Jesus. Above all else, Jacob loved spending time with his family, especially his children.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Nancy Moody; son, Luke Isaac Moody; daughter, Ruby Elizabeth Moody; brothers, Paul Moody and Amos Moody; sisters, Holly Gillmore Werry and Haley Moody; aunts and uncles, James and Sue Moody, Ben Davis, Mary Wade, Horace Moody, and Kathyleen Moody; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace and Cora Moody, June Davis, Mary Lou Kent, and Mary Davis; his father, Joseph Moody; and his brother, Joseph Moody II.
There will be a visitation held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 1 PM until 2 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Mitch Bell, will follow at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie, AR. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are J. T. Thompson, Darrell Gillmore, Amos Moody, Kevin Caraway, Brandon Wood, and Michael Patrick. Honorary Pallbearer is Don Martin.
