Alma Mae White, 82, of Batesville, AR, died on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was born on October 25, 1941, in Leechville, AR, to the late William Fred Brown and Dorothy Irene (Hardy) Clark. She was of the Christian faith. Alma worked for 30-plus years at the International Shoe Company, earning her retirement through them and working there until they closed their doors, a fact that she was very proud of. Alma loved to watch The Young and the Restless; She was a huge fan of David Hasselhoff and Erik Estrada; She loved to show dogs with her sister, Jean; and she was also an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan. Out of all of Alma’s hobbies and passions, nothing meant more to her than her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren very much and was known to be an expert grilled cheese sandwich chef by her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all of those who were blessed to know and love her.
Alma is preceded in death by both of her parents; her sister, Jean Smith; and her uncle, Chuck Hardy. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lutner; her grandchildren, Brandi Ballard (Brandon), and Kim Brooks (David); her great-grandchildren, Hannah Halcom (Jentry), Shelby Halcom, Liberty Halcom, and Noah Halcom; her little bestie, Annalynn Young; and her little dog, “Tiny”.
Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
