Geraldine Byrd went to her Heavenly Home on May 4, 2025, in Melbourne, Arkansas. She was born in Pembroke, Georgia, to Homer and Addie Barrow. She was the oldest of three children.
Geraldine was often called a wordsmith! A writer, a poet, a songwriter, wrote short stories and had written a children’s book. She had a gift for meeting people and never met a stranger. Geraldine was the one to greet you with a smile and when she walked away from you, you remembered her. Her smile and her kindness stayed with you. She was witty and had a sense of humor that kept people laughing. You never knew what to expect, except that it would make you laugh. Geraldine had an exceptional memory and could tell interesting stories from the past. She enjoyed music, fishing and traveling but, most of all spending time with her family and friends.
