Shirley Ann Dickens, 71, of Locust Grove, departed this life on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Batesville. She was born on October 20, 1953, in Batesville, to Thurman and Lue Grissom St. John.
She and Jerry “Buddy” Dickens were married on November 15, 1992, in Fayetteville, Arkansas and celebrated over fifty-two years of marriage until her death. Shirley enjoyed working and found much enjoyment as a CNA in providing care to others. She enjoyed cooking and loved to be with her family. Shirley was of the Pentecostal Belief.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jerry “Buddy” Dickens, of the home; her son, Shawn Dickens; granddaughters, Keegan Holley Dickens, and Cheyenne “Wade” Brooks; grandson, Kaleb Eli Dickens; great grandchildren, Shooter, Warren, Fisher, and Georgia Brooks; brother, Frankie St. John, of Cave City; sisters, Becky (Donald) McGee, of Bethesda, and Renee Seaman, of Batesville.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Levi Dickens.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, May 23, 2025, in the Concord Community Center at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Jason Sprouse and Donald McGee officiating.
