
Sharon Elizabeth Winkle, 71, of Batesville, died on Monday, May 12, 2025. Sharon was born on October 1, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Floyd Evans and Betty (Heathman) Evans. She was of Christian faith and worshiped the Lord at West Baptist Church in Batesville. Sharon was a loving and compassionate person. Her role as a mother and homemaker was the joy of her life. She provided not just for her family, but for anyone she felt needed it. She was known to bake delicious bread and distribute it throughout the community every year. Sharon also enjoyed animals. She loved tending to her farm animals, especially her chickens and donkeys. Sharon was a loving, dedicated, and nurturing mother, daughter, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Sharon is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Don Winkle; her half-brother, Floyd A. Evans; and her two half-sisters, Lela Hilderbrand and Loetta Page. She is survived by her son, Wesley Winkle (Rebecca); her daughter, Sheila Grizzle (Jeff); her brother, David Allen Evans (Phyllis); her sister, Deborah Galbreath; her grandson, Andy Winkle (Raelynn Ganzer); and several extended family members and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR, and will be held at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. There will be a visitation on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 1 PM until 2 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Bro. Alan Brown, will begin at 2 PM, with interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, AR. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Adam Garcia, Owen Garcia, Robert Cole, Hunter Anderson, Rick Stolarik, and Mike Winkle.
