Mickey Sue Counts, age 75, of Forrest City, stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas, surrounded by her precious family.

Mickey was born on December 3, 1949, the daughter of Grover Counts and Freda Kissinger Counts in Alicia, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jackie, Melba, Hilda, Brenda, and Nona; and brothers, Jimmy, Tommy, Billy, and Joe.

Mickey worked on a farm for 30 years and worked as hard as any man, driving a tractor and a grain truck as good as anyone.

She was also a homemaker and an excellent cook and was the best CNA to ever hold that title.

She was a caretaker for any and everyone who needed her. The love she had for her family was extraordinary, and spending time with them was where she truly found joy, along with a little bluegrass and country music.

To say she changed the world with her love for those in need would be an understatement; she certainly left us better than she found us.

Mickey has entrusted her memories to these precious loved ones; one brother, Larry Counts of Ash Flat, Arkansas; one son, Robbie Alberson (Michalle), two daughters, Kim Files (Cliff) and Jessica Pettus (Carlton), all of Forrest City; ten grandchildren, Hunter, Gunner, Tessa, Lexie, Lindze, Aaron, Drew, Johnny, Carol, and Kira Tey; and nine great-grandchildren, Brody, Jace, Kensley, Silas, Nolan, Price, Atlas, Dawson, and Demi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, beginning at 1:30 p.m. with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne, Arkansas with burial at Curve Cemetery in Fair Oaks, Arkansas.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Gunner Jacobs, Aaron Slocum, Hunter Alberson, Cody Alberson, Lance Merritt, and T.J. Adams. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Jacobs, Milton Jacobs, and James Alberson.

Arrangements by Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.
