
Terrie Jane Lawrence of Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of Swifton, departed this life on May 15, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born October 25, 1949, in Swifton, the daughter of George Clyde Kell and Charlene (Felts) Kell.
Mrs. Lawrence was a 1967 graduate of Swifton High School and attended Arkansas State University. She married Tommy Dane Lawrence on September 14, 1968, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Tommy Dane Lawrence; her parents; and her brother, George Clyde Kell II.
Terrie was an active community volunteer, giving her time and heart to organizations including Helping Neighbors Food Pantry, the Junior Auxiliary, and countless school and church activities. She was a woman of faith, a member of the Swifton United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, and believed wholeheartedly in loving her neighbor. She had a servant’s heart and was known for her warmth, strength, and unwavering generosity.
Terrie enjoyed painting and cross-stitching.
Her greatest joy in life was her family.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Lawrence and wife, Lisa, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Cassandra Collins of Brookland and Caroline Wilson of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Jessica Hammett (Michael), Julia Lohn (Tyler), Ethan Lawrence (Gracey), Talia Wilson, Greta Wilson, and Ruby Wilson; two great grandsons, Colby and River; one great granddaughter, Iyla; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Terrie was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Grandmommie”, “Memaw”, and “Kiki”, and she cherished each of them dearly.
Friends may visit at the Swifton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Monday, 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Swifton. Interment will be in Swifton Cemetery.
