Obituary: Carolyn Teague Montgomery

Carolyn Teague Montgomery, 85, of Batesville, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

She was born January 7, 1940, in Truman, Arkansas to Albert and Christina (Deckelman) Teague.

Carolyn was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving, kind woman and the best big sister. She was very family-oriented and loved her family and especially her grandkids. Carolyn was a great cook who cooked everything from scratch. She cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the Teague family for many years.

Survivors include one son, Randal Montgomery of Grandview, Missouri; one brother, Albert Teague, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Kay Jenkerson of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Ashley Montgomery and Scott Montgomery; three great-grandchildren, Kamden, Karolina, and Cruz, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frankie Montgomery; one brother, Bill Teague, and three sisters, Lorene Landsdell, Gladys Hollihan, and Evelyn Penter.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville at 11:00am with Bobby Sheppard officiating.
