Obituary: Don H. Tomlinson

Don H. Tomlinson, 88, of Batesville, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, in his home, surrounded by family. He was born January 2, 1937, at Choctaw to Tommy and Lill Tomlinson.

Don created Gateway Technical School and transformed it into UACCB from which he retired in 1995. He was a man of many talents and skills, an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, turkey hunting, crappie fishing, bass fishing, woodworking and was a member of Bethesda Campground Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of nearly 60 years, Lynn Tomlinson; two brothers, Billy Tomlinson, Lewie Tomlinson and one sister, Martha Fulton.

Survivors include his wonderful friend and companion, Wanda Tomlinson; one son, Jeff Tomlinson (Theresa) of Ravenden; two daughters, Sandi Anderson (Tony) of Batesville, Patti Clauss of Millcreek, UT; eight grandchildren, Jordan Tomlinson (Amy), Jakki Crowley (Dee), Justin Conyers (Meagan), Whitney Conyers, Brian Hicks (Allison), Brandon Lee, Sophie Meyer (Taran), Evie Clauss; seven great grandchildren, Wesley Tomlinson, Charlotte Tomlinson, Wyatt Conyers, Wynn Conyers, Maddie Hicks, Josie Hicks, Stetson Meyer along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
