Lowell Lynn Skinner of Batesville and Pleasant Plains, Ark. passed from this life to the next the evening of Saturday, May 31, after a long struggle with heart disease. His sons were at his side, holding his hands as he stepped through the veil that divides Heaven and Earth.
Lowell Lynn was an outdoorsman his whole life, spending countless hours on ponds, creeks and rivers, often with his sons, fishing for whatever was biting, sometimes just enjoying the weather when nothing was tempted by his many lures.
He attended Batesville schools until he joined the Marine Corps in 1963. When he returned home, he worked many different jobs before he started his own business, “Coverall Paint & Paper,” a small company that primarily renovated motels across the southern United States.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Batesville; two sons, Dustin of Little Rock and Corey of Batesville; one brother, Robert, of Lakeland, Tenn., a granddaughter, Kurstin, and a great-grandson, Keaton; along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lowell Lynn asked to be cremated, and his ashes will be interred in a private ceremony at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that honorariums be sent to:
The Dementia Society of America
DementiaSociety.org
or to:
The American Heart Association
Heart.org
A private service will be held for the family.
