Tom Lassiter Sr., 71, of Newport, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1953, to John and Irene (Parker) Lassiter in Newport, AR.
Mr. Lassiter was a U.S. Veteran serving in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 38 years, Freda Lassiter, one brother, Johnny Lassiter, Jr.
Tom is survived by his son, William Thomas Lassiter of Newport, two daughters, Kathy Whitlow of Jonesboro, Patricia Morris and husband Jerry of Newport, one brother, Sam Lassiter and wife Cathy of Newport, five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and one special great niece, Dallas.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, at the Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with an internment in Friendship Cemetery outside of Drasco, AR. Those honored to be pallbearers are Sam Lassiter, Jr., John Lassiter, Dalton Dunham, Buster Stone, Will Watkins, Mike Jones, and Eddie Watkins.
