Floyd Eugene Teague (1945-2025)

”Gene” was known for his generosity and charming manner, from supporting the local cloggers, to selling cars or playing and spoiling the grandkids.

Gene passed from this life at his home in Mountain View, Arkansas, on June 13, 2025.

Born to Coy and Barbara (Painter) Teague on April 12, 1945, in Black Oak, Arkansas, he was one of 5 children.

He learned many trades: butcher, truck driver, used car salesman but his favorite job of all time was being Papaw.

After being married and divorced twice, he found his love and life partner in Paula Havens. Believing in family, he took to Paula’s girls, Brandie Huffman and BryAnna Terrill as his own. His favorite pastime was playing and spoiling his 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Barbara, brother JD Teague, love and life partner Paula Havens, and great-grandson Atlas Parker.

He is survived by brothers Roy Teague of LaFontaine, IN and John Teague and wife of Muncy, IN, sister Louise Whitaker and husband John, nephew Jason Webb and wife Kim of California, Brandie Huffman and husband Jeremy of Mountain View, BryAnna Terrill and husband Wes of Depoe Bay, OR, grandchildren Kathryn, Johnnie, Kristopher, Kayg, Journey, Kolte, Hunter, Archer as well as great grandchildren: Sophia, Carson, Leo, Macy, Freya, Charlotte and Hagan.
Gene had lifelong friends who were family. Fondly referred to as his fan club, they checked in with him daily: neighbors Jerry Dale Martin and wife Jessika and children, Don Martin and wife Diane, Janice Chandler and husband Buddy and family. Pop Pop will be deeply missed by all.

A remembrance gathering will be held at the home on July 26, 2025, at 300 pm.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
