James H. McIntare, 83 years old, of Mountain View, left this world on June 21st, 2025, at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. He was born September 18th, 1941, in Huntsville, Alabama, to John Alvin McIntare and Virginia O’Neal Ayers McIntare.
James was a laborer his whole life. He spent many hours as a young farm hand in Arkansas. He worked at Singer in Truman, Arkansas, then 10 years at Great Dane Trailers in Memphis, TN, where he repaired the machines. After moving to Mountain View, he worked as a carpenter for several years, which he was very talented at. He worked for years at Pete Younger’s sawmill, where most knew him as Pop. It seemed as if James could make a box into a car engine. There was very little he could not repair or build.
James was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Donna Renee McIntare Sullivan, his parents, one sister, and nine brothers.
James is survived by two daughters, Teresa McIntare Pitts (Barry) and Corie McIntare both of Mountain View; five grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Jason, Tyler, and Autumn; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Dylan, Parrish, Lily, Brelyn, Finnley, Cecil, and Sonny. James is also survived by many other family members and friends who mourn his passing.
A memorial service will be held in September for family and close friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
