Elton John Keeney, 65, of Batesville, departed this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas, on May 20, 1960, to Alton Keeney and Marjorie Chamberlain.
Being a dad was everything to Elton, and he was lovingly known as an “adventurous father” who loved to ride his Harley motorcycle, attend concerts, and travel. He was a tree farmer, coordinated dirt bike races, and enjoyed driving trucks so he could take in the many sights along the way.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Kyler (Erica) Keeney, of Draco; his daughters, Shara (Dustin) Davis, of Searcy, and Kristina (Jacob) Praught, of Batesville; his sisters, Mary (Mike) Hegarty, of Conway; his grandchildren, Bentley Davis, of Searcy, Brooks Davis, of Searcy, and Lazarus Praught, of Batesville; the mother of his children, Sherry Keeney, of Batesville; his nieces; nephews; and his beloved pet, Ellie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; his twin brother, Alton; his brothers, Carl, Mark, and Randy and his two very loved dogs, Bruiser and Bolt.
A Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Jeff Jasso.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until the service time.
