
Judy Faye Gillihan, 72, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at White River Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 17, 1953, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Troy “Bud” and Lois (Sullivan) Vannatter.
Judy was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She deeply cherished time with her family, and her world revolved around her grandchildren. Known affectionately as a “mom to everyone,” Judy had a nurturing spirit and a heart full of kindness.
She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—cooking for her loved ones, watching Gunsmoke, shopping at Dorcas, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers, and playing bingo. Her warmth and laughter leave behind countless treasured memories.
Left to honor her memory are her loving husband of 45 years, Bill Gillihan; two children, Greg Vannatter and Christopher (Angel) Gillihan, both of Mountain View; four siblings, Renie (Larry) Martin of North Little Rock, Tennie Mullins of Mountain View, Troy (Robin) Vannatter of Mountain View, and Sherry (Steve) Verser of Mountain View; two grandchildren, Payton (Emily) Vannatter and Makenna Vannatter; and three great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Andrew, and Aubree Ann.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Troy “Bud” and Lois Vannatter, and five siblings: R.L. Vannatter, Doris Jean Vannatter, Shirley Branscum, Sharon Huffines, and Randy Vannatter.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Brother Joseph Blake.
