Rickey Gene DeFries, 77, of Batesville, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025.
He was born June 26, 1948, in Batesville to Fax Jeffrey and Altha Margret (Stice) DeFries.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Elizabeth (Jeffery) DeFries; two sons, Robert Burns (Betty) of Vienna, Virginia, and Trey DeFries (Wendy) of Rogers, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Shelby Burns, Alex Burns, and Nathan DeFries.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Fax DeFries.
Pallbearers are Robert Burns, Trey DeFries, Nathan DeFries, Gary Jeffery, Dan Williams, and Tim Shuttleworth.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Chris Garret officiating. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
