
Arnold Dean Lincoln, age 87, of Mountain View, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord on August 8, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1938, in Sheridan, Arkansas, to Joe Elmer and Beulah V. (Dortch) Lincoln.
Arnold spent most of his life in Sheridan, Arkansas. He retired from the Arkansas Department of Health in Little Rock in 2003, after which he made his home in Mountain View. Arnold was a friendly and outgoing man who never met a stranger and had many friends. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1956 and proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard for nine years.
Arnold was a faithful member of White Water Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View. Prior to that, he was a devoted member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan for 40 years, where he served as the Sunday School teacher for the Men’s Class. His favorite pastimes included reading his Bible, working word search puzzles, and playing his guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Polly Mae (Phillips) Lincoln, and his son, E. Abe Lincoln, both of Mountain View, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Elmer and Beulah V. (Dortch) Lincoln.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Phil Sutton officiating. Interment will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Orion Cemetery in Redfield, Arkansas, with Brother Bob Oden officiating.
