Virginia Ruth (McRoberts) Norris, 95, of Grubbs, Arkansas, departed this lifeon Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Virginia was born June 6, 1930, in Delbarton, West Virginia, the daughter of Chester and Ruth (Maynard) McRoberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Henry Norris, one son, Chester Joe Dismore, two brothers: Gayle and Charles McRoberts, and one Granddaughter, Kimberly Dismore.
Virginia, after working for over 40 years at General Filters, retired. She then worked in the kitchen at Harrison Moose Lodge #2235, enjoyed being a homemaker, and spent time with family and friends.
Virginia is survived by one half-sister, Lynn Mead of West Virginia; brother-in-law, Bill Norris of Jonesboro; sisters-in-law: Paulette Norris of Weiner and Mary Norris Holmes of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews; several grandchildren; and Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home from 5:00 ~ 6:00 P.M.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday ~ August 23, 2025, in Walker Cemetery.
Interment will be in Walker Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
