
Earl Dean Tate, 81, of Batesville, AR, died on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Cave City, AR. He was born on October 31, 1943, in Batesville to the late Felix Tate and Stella (Dale) Tate and was of the Baptist faith. Earl served his country honorably in the US Army National Guard. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a mechanic by trade and loved working on old cars and tinkering around with whatever might need to be fixed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Earl will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Earl is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Earlene Tate; his son, Earl Wayne Tate; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Roger Tate (Sheri) of Evening Shade, AR; his daughter, Rachell Qualls (Joe) of Cave City, AR; his grandson, Zachary Wayne Tate; his great-grandson, Bryson Wayne Tate; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. There will be a private family graveside service, officiated by Bro. Glenn McKay, on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery on Sandtown Road, with all his family, recognized as an honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Independence County Humane Society in honor of Earl Tate.
