Douglas Barrows of Newport, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born on June 28, 1952, in York, Maine, to Edward Henry Barrows and Olive Hazel (Hubbard) Barrows.
Mr. Barrows was a conservative who served his country during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of Barrows’ Construction LLC. An avid outdoorsman, he particularly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Henry Barrows; and his stepfather, Harold Hayes.
Mr. Barrows is survived by his mother, Olive Hazel (Hubbard) Hayes, of Wells, Maine; one daughter, Michelle Simpson, and her husband, Mark; three brothers, Wayne Barrows, John Barrows, and Dean Barrows; one half-brother, Terrance Hayes; three grandchildren, Olivia, Alexa, and Stacia; his long-term girlfriend, Starla Raby; and the Raby family.
There will be no services at this time.
