Bertha Nast, 80, of Southside, passed away on October 3, 2025.
She was born July 29, 1945, in Batesville, Arkansas, to James Virgil Taylor and Merdith (Hughes) Taylor.
Bertha worked at Batesville Nursing and Rehab. She knew what she wanted and she would get it. She enjoyed going to flea markets and gun shows, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Bertha wore graphic t-shirts all the time, loved animals, loved to garden, and play her games on Facebook. She also enjoyed buying and selling guns.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Parker Nast; one son, Parker Nast, Jr. (Cheryl) of Southside; three grandchildren, Ashley Webb, Jonathan Tillman, Travis Tillman; six great-grandchildren, Harper and Charlie Tillman, Adam, Hayden, and Corrie Webb, and Karson Tillman; and several other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one uncle, Junior Hughes, and two aunts, Ada Hughes and Virginia Mount Simpson.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
