Robert Dale Smith, 76 of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life Monday, October 13, 2025, at his home. Robert was born June 24, 1949, in Weiner, Arkansas the son of Lee and Almer (Austin) Smith.
He married Miss Barbara Jenkins on November 26, 1970, and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage before her passing on August 27, 2023.
His parents preceded him in death, also, one daughter, Lisa Ann Smith, three brothers: Joey Smith, Sherman Smith, and Logan Smith, two sisters: Oma Smith and Alma Jean McKellar.
Robert enjoyed hunting, watching westerns on television, and spending time with family and friends. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and of the Baptist faith.
Robert is survived by one son, Tommy (Sonja) Smith of Harrisburg, one daughter, Susan Smith of Hoxie, four brothers: John D. (Barbara) Smith, Roger (Darla) Smith, Jimmy Smith, Steven Smith all of Harrisburg, one sister, Mary Gail Irvin also of Harrisburg, six grandchildren: Lucas (Brittany) Smith, Elsie (Kevin) Hudson, Anya (Sarah) Dobry, Tianna (Kaleb) Verser, James Floyd, Aliyah Floyd, four Great-grandchildren: Madlyn Mabe ‶Moonpie,″ Emmy Verser, Grayson Verser, and Granger Verser.
Active Pallbearers will be: Tommy Smith, Susan Smith, Lucas Smith, Elsie Hudson, Kevin Hudson Jr., and James Floyd and Honorary Pallbearers will be his brothers and sister.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in Harrisburg at the Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
