Deborah “Debbie” Karen Howell, 69, of Cave City, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, in Little Rock. She was born February 17, 1956, in Batesville to Mack and Wanda Girtman. She retired from Cave City School District after many years of helping and loving on any child who needed it. She attended Cave City First Free Will Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving Momma, and Mimi to everyone. Debbie enjoyed spoiling her grandbabies, puzzles and loved going to Disney World and the beach with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, Danny Howell, and one brother, Larry “Snowball” Girtman.
Survivors include one son, Chris Howell (Chelsey) of Franklin; two daughters, Candice Thorne (Brad) of Cave City, Katie Beth Lockhart (Nicholas) of Cave City; one sister, Patti Hudson (Ron) of Rosie; seven grandchildren, Georgie Claire, Henry Daniel, Hazel-Grace, Harrison Lee, Gus Tucker, Emmie Faith, Beau Carter, along with a host of other friends and relatives.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Cemetery with Bro. Trent Bradley is officiating. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
