Patty (Jordan) Lane of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, November 2, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born in Parsons, Kansas, the daughter of Wattie Carl and Ellen Gerene (Stangle) Jordan.
She was a 1962 graduate of Newport High School. Mrs. Lane had worked as a cashier at Safeway and a bookkeeper for her husband at Lane’s Auto Parts. Patty was a talented artist; she loved painting and gifted many of her projects to her loved ones. She also enjoyed doing crafts, reading, and watching westerns. She was of the Christian belief. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Chloe. Patty will be remembered for her kindness, sweet spirit, and loving smile.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Elbert Lane; one son, Jerry Patton Lane; one brother, Morris Jordan; and her parents.
She is survived by one son, Preston Lane of Newport; one brother, William “Bill” Jordan of Alsea, Oregon; one granddaughter, Chloe Lane of Searcy; special friend, Belinda Boyster; and a lifetime of friends.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
