Obituary: Kenneth “Kenny” Roy Toburen

Kenneth “Kenny” Roy Toburen, 64 years and 4 months, of Bethesda, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Bethesda. He was born July 1, 1961, in Sonora, TX to George Orland and Nola Mae (Thurman) Toburen. He was a retired OR Tech of 33 years with Baptist Hospital, a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda and served in the U.S. Army. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, the Texas Longhorns and mowing the yard with his zero-turn mower.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gregory Allen Toburen and Donald Lee Toburen.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Melissa (Hill) Toburen of the home; three daughters, Charlotte Kinard (David) of Gravette, Sarah Cole (Levi) of Mabelvale, Katherine Hammer (William) of Bryant; two brothers, Steven Toburen of Lufkin, TX, David Toburen (Lisa) of Lufkin, TX; four grandchildren, Jackson, Chandler, Elijah, Aleah, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Lane Baxter, Ron Kelly, David Toburen, Jeff Townsend, Rick Ingram, Scott Spicer and Billy Green.
