Bobby Clinton Massey, 90, of Newport, passed peacefully from this life on November 9, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1935, in Newport, Arkansas, to Clint and Hildred (Folk) Massey.

Bobby lived a life defined by family, hard work, and a joyful spirit. In his younger years, he was an exceptional baseball player at Newport High School, known for his athleticism and love of the game. That same dedication and energy carried into every part of his life.

He spent his career working for the State of Arkansas in the Unemployment Division, where he served with integrity and compassion, always striving to help those in need. His professionalism and kind-hearted nature earned the respect of both coworkers and the community.

Outside of work, Bobby loved being outdoors. Camping and fishing were two of his greatest joys—simple pleasures that allowed him to connect with nature and the people he loved most. Many cherished memories were made around campfires, on riverbanks, and during early mornings spent waiting for a fish to bite.

Bobby was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He had a warm smile, a gentle spirit, and a heart that welcomed everyone. His love for his family was steadfast, and his presence brought laughter, comfort, and strength to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Hildred Massey; his son, Robert Scott Massey; and his wife, June Massey.

He is survived by his son, Darryl (Kathy) Massey of Newport; his daughter in law, Tracy Ray Massey of Beebe; his grandchildren, Sarah Massey Todd (Cody) of Pensacola Beach, Florida, Caroline Massey (Austin Jackson) of Heber Springs, Brad Austin (Brittini) of Tuckerman, his great grandsons, Brantley Austin and Branson Austin of Tuckerman; his sister, Mary Lynn (Massey) Langford of Little Rock; his brother, Benjy Massey of Texas; special friends and caregivers, Bonnie Parks of Swifton and Glenda Landis of Swifton; and a lifetime of friends and other family members.

Bobby will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love for family, and the legacy of warmth and faith he leaves behind. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
