Obituary: Tony Hatfield

Tony Hatfield of Sheridan, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 64. He was born on October 11, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Floyd Lavern and Betty Annette (Thompson) Hatfield.

Mr. Hatfield worked for McGeorge Contracting, where he drove a truck and operated heavy equipment. He was a devoted member of Restoration Church in Sheridan, where he enjoyed singing. Mr. Hatfield never missed a day of reading his Bible and shared God’s love with everyone he met.

In his free time, Mr. Hatfield enjoyed spending time outdoors while working in the yard and shooting his gun. He also loved riding his motorcycle and playing the guitar.

Mr. Hatfield is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Pate) Hatfield, of the home; two sons, Kurtis Hatfield and wife, Ariel, of Little Rock and Clifton Hatfield and wife, Sierra, of Sheridan; a daughter, Elizabeth Hatfield, of Sheridan; a brother, Tim Hatfield and wife, Penny, of Swifton; his sister, Sissy Baker, of Searcy; seven grandchildren, Will Hatfield, Kurtis Hatfield, Hunter Hatfield, Tanner Hatfield, Hazel Grace Britton, Naomi Combs, and Adaiah Combs; a host of nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Abiding Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Swifton, with Pastor Brent Henderson and Mr. John Pate officiating. Interment will be in Arnold Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the service.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jake Ellis, William Hatfield, Allan Ford, William Kurtis Hatfield, Kurtis Hatfield, and Stan Fulks.
