Donna Jean Burdick, age 66, of Southside, Arkansas, passed away on November 13, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1959, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Donna was a warm, caring, and loyal friend who never met a stranger. She spent several months working as a gas station attendant, where she treated everyone who walked through the door like family. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She enjoyed the simple joys of life—crocheting, listening to old-town rock, reading, and, most recently, discovering the magic of the Harry Potter audiobooks, which amazed her. Donna adored her dog, Gigi, who was her constant companion. Above all else, she deeply loved and cherished her children and grandchildren.
Donna is preceded in death by both of her parents, George Coody and Wayle Wise. She leaves behind her husband of eight years, Richard Burdick; her son, Joshua Parker; her daughters, Jenni Glass Staples and Amy Glass Hanson (Chris); and her five grandchildren: Michelle, Alexia, Nicholas, Austin, and Marshall. She is also survived by her brother, Eddy Prescott, and her sister, Tina Prescott Colichia. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A candlelight vigil will be held on Saturday at 6:30 PM at Exxon Tiger Mart, 876 Batesville Blvd, Batesville, AR 72501, for those who wish to honor Donna’s life and legacy.
