Rhonda Louise Stewart, 79, of Batesville, departed this life on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Batesville. She was born on August 10, 1946, in Batesville, to Richard Eldred Platt and Dorothy Mae Huckaba Platt.
During her lifetime, she was a homemaker who adored children and loved cooking for them as well as others. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband on many of his numerous travels across the fifty states. While traveling at various times and seasons, she definitely preferred warm weather.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dale (Gary) Stewart, Jr.; her brothers, Ralph (Melinda) Platt, of Vilonia, and Tony Platt, Beaumont, Texas; her sisters, Robin (Eddie) Brock, of Batesville, Renee (Tommy) Long, of Batesville; Vickie (Alan) Platt Tynes, of Beaumont, Texas; numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard (Ruth) Platt and Dorothy Platt; her husband, Dale Sr.; a daughter, Christine; sisters, Royce Platt James and Rita Lanelle Platt Smart; a brother, Larry Platt; and niece, Anissa Mathews.
Funeral Service will be Monday, December 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service at 2180 Batesville Blvd. In Southside with Chris James officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the Egner Cemetery in Southside.
