The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating Forrest Office Machines’ expansion into the Batesville market. Though new to the local business community, the company brings more than 65 years of industry experience and a strong family legacy to the region.

Amanda Roberts, membership engagement specialist for the chamber, welcomed guests and expressed enthusiasm for introducing a long-established, family-owned company to the area.

“I love these ribbon cuttings because I love introducing people to new companies that have been around for 65-plus years,” Roberts said. “Forrest Office Machines has moved into this market, and we are thrilled they’ve joined the chamber and our chamber family.”

Barry Forrest, owner of Forrest Office Machines, shared the history of the company and the values that have shaped its growth since its founding in 1963.

“My father started the business, and while my brothers have since retired, I bought the company out and have continued our legacy in delivering quality products and customer service.”

Forrest Office Machines is a long-time Sharp dealer, offering a full line of copiers, smart boards and production machines capable of up to 120 copies per minute. Forrest emphasized the company’s technical expertise, noting that its five service technicians are Platinum-certified by Sharp.

Cody Forrest, Barry’s son, recently joined the company and will serve the Batesville area directly.

“My wife and I moved to Batesville about seven years ago, and we absolutely love it here,” Cody said. “I’m really excited to work in this market, meet everyone, and help with your copier needs.”
