
Jimmy Dale Hastings, 82, of Sandtown, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home. He was born May 25, 1943, in Sandtown to Laman and Juanita (Lesley) Hastings. He was a Chief Shop Mechanic for the Arkansas Army National Guard, Motor Sgt. for the 148th EVAC Hospital, including serving during Desert Storm, and a member of Weaver’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed making things, dogs, and all animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Phyllis Janet Hastings; three brothers, Raburn Hastings, Cleburn Hastings, and Bill Hastings.
Survivors include his wife of ten years, Mary Hastings of the home; three sons, James Keith Hastings of Sandtown, Jason Holland of Searcy and Jeff Holland of Mountainburg; one brother, Charles Hastings of Sandtown; two sisters, Clyda Keller of Mt. Home and Dawana Craig (Dan) of Paragould; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to service time at the church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Weavers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Dustin Crawford, Jeff Holland and Patrick Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery at Sandtown.

Pallbearers will be Jr. Verser, Mike Fugate, Danny Stephens, Keary Landers, Tim Stroud, and Jason Holland.
Honorary Pallbearers are his caregiver, Lora Riggs, and Army friends Danny Ables, Don Hicks, Wayne Cates and Joe Turner.
