Obituary: Adrian Shavon Murphy

Adrian Shavon Murphy, 42, was born August 30th, 1983, in Newport, AR. She was the daughter of Angelia Murphy and Bobby Lynn Williams.

Adrian attended Newport High School and graduated on May 17th, 2002.

Adrian worked at Medallion Foods for many years but had to stop working due to health issues.

Adrian had a big heart. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed family gatherings, riding four-wheelers, roller skating and going shopping. She also loved doing make-up, dressing up and taking pictures.

She was a very loving and caring person and would do anything for anybody. Adrian Murphy was a loving mother whose greatest joy in life was her daughter, Abigail. She spoke of Abigail with pride in every season of her life, finding deep happiness in watching her grow, learn, and become her own brilliant person. Adrian’s gentle spirit, strength, and unwavering love will continue to live on in Abigail’s heart, shaping her future just as profoundly as she shaped her mother’s world.

Adrian was preceded in death by her grandparents, R.L and Ruby Murphy and aunt Jennie Newman.

She departed this life on December 7th, 2025, at Unity Health Harris Medical Center in Newport, Arkansas.

Her memory will be cherished by her parents Angelia Murphy and Bobby Lynn Williams; one child, Abigail Mitchell of Swifton, Arkansas; two brothers, Bobby (Sherry) Murphy of Ocala, Florida and Javon (Monice) Williams of Searcy, Arkansas; three sisters, Ruby (Michael) Tucker of Tuckerman, Arkansas, Taunikka Williams of Newport, Arkansas. and her twin sister Andrea Murphy of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a host of aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Her memory will also be cherished by special friends Tommy Berry and Crystal Morgan and a host of other close friends.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are JB Bowen, Devante Neal, Danny Adams, Trevor Adams, JR Moody, Chuccy Stallnacker, and Johnny Ray Ball.

Honorary pallbearers are Nick Murphy, Ella Barger, Jacob Murphy, Tara Murphy, Kyler Murphy, Ikeshia Murphy, Cody Murphy, Jadyn Murphy, Timothy Golden Jr., Tracy Murphy, John Murphy, Denise Harvey, Justin Glover, Alyse Bracey, Eli Burns, Brenda Godair.

Caleb Burns, Ashlee Sales, Kelley Harvey, Kera Moore, Daniel Godair, and Neva Parish.

Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025.
