
The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted a series of ribbon-cutting ceremonies in December, recognizing new businesses and members across Batesville, including retail shops, professional services, and a health and wellness clinic.
The chamber welcomed Silk Haus, a women’s retail boutique, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Main Street. Community members, chamber ambassadors, family, and friends attended the event marking the store’s opening in downtown Batesville.
Amanda Roberts, the chamber’s membership engagement specialist, opened the ceremony and spoke about the role of small businesses in the local economy.
Blair Craft, owner of Silk Haus, said the boutique reflects her interest in women’s fashion and handcrafted, hypoallergenic jewelry, which is featured alongside curated apparel and accessories. During the event, chamber ambassadors modeled items from the store, and Craft highlighted specialty collections.
Silk Haus is located at 187 E. Main St., Suite A. The grand opening weekend included store promotions, giveaways, a hat bar, and color analysis services. The website can be accessed by clicking here.

The chamber also held a ribbon cutting for Oak & Iron Menswear, a new retailer located in the Midtown Plaza Shopping Center. Owners Brandi and Reese Birkhead were welcomed as new chamber members during the ceremony.
Roberts opened the event, followed by remarks from Brandi Birkhead, who said Oak & Iron Menswear was created to provide clothing options ranging from workwear to dress and casual apparel. Reese Birkhead, co-store manager, also spoke during the ceremony.

Another ribbon-cutting ceremony recognized EDG Coaching and new member Michele Jennae, who also was inducted as a chamber ambassador. The event was held at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
During the ceremony, chamber representatives presented Jennae with an ambassador blazer. Jennae described EDG Coaching, short for “Every Day Genius,” and said the organization focuses on helping individuals identify goals and direction in their personal and professional lives. The chamber also hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Empire Health & Wellness, now open in the Eagle Mountain Shopping Center. The clinic offers aesthetic, cosmetic and laser-based services, along with a boutique-style retail area.
Owner Chris Kuczma said the clinic provides a range of treatments, including injectables, cosmetic procedures and laser services. The event included opening-day pricing promotions and demonstrations.
