Elizabeth Ann Southard, 81, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born May 12, 1944, in Heth, Arkansas, to William F. Smith and Ruby Pauline Hanley Smith.
She was a devoted wife and an amazing mother, who was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Southard; sons, Richard Owens (Kimberly) of Jonesboro and Michael Owens (Laura) of Red Bank, Tennessee; a daughter, Stephanie Bradley of Nordheim, Texas; three brothers, Robert, Allen, and Fred Smith; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnny Smith.
Graveside services will be Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cleburne County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tharell Boulware officiating.
