Bobby Joe Campbell, 85, of Sandtown, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, in Sandtown. He was born on November 9, 1940, in Sandtown to Earnest and Belva (Hastings) Campbell. He was a former Heavy Equipment Operator at Atlas Asphalt and attended the Church of God in Cave City. He enjoyed farming, working and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, J.A. Campbell and Jerry Campbell; and his sisters, Freda Thomas, Cleva Lesley Carter, Wanda Roach and Nina Carter.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dana Wood Campbell of the home; daughters, Bertha Tugwell (James) and Remonia Stroud (Tim); his brother, Gary Campbell (Charlotte); his sister, Shirley Earnestine Hoover (Mac); four grandchildren, Amanda, Jarrod, Bobby and Clayton; and five great grandchildren, Briley, Jonah, Cole, Barrett and Bennett; along with other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown with Bro. Bobby Sanders is officiating.
