
Shelby Pauline (Turney) Nail, age 88, peacefully departed this life on December 18, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on February 9, 1937, in Marshall, Arkansas, to her beloved parents, Audy and Fairy (Taylor) Turney.
In 1958, Pauline married Thomas Nail, and together they embarked on a remarkable journey of 61 years filled with unwavering devotion. Pauline enjoyed a successful career as a manager of the St. Joseph Hospital Cafeteria, where her leadership and commitment were evident. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Batesville, Arkansas.
Her life was enriched by a diverse array of interests, including cooking, canning, gardening, and traveling. A gifted seamstress, she created beautifully tailored garments for her husband and daughters. She was a proud supporter of veterans and actively participated in numerous VFW Auxiliary activities. One of her cherished pastimes was shopping with her sister, Norma.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, stepson, Ricky Nail; stepdaughter, Rita Glicco; grandson, Terry Law; and sister, Norma J. Tipton.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Donna Hackett; grandsons, Mitchell Law, Donnie Hackett, and Matthew Glicco; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Maxene Miller (Craig); brother-in-law, Jerry W. Tipton; nieces, Daylene Johnson, Terrie L. Sowell, and Wendy Miller; and nephews, Bryce D. Baker and John Miller.
Pauline’s spirit and legacy will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 pm at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at the Nail Cemetery with Eddie Cox officiating.
