William David McIntosh Jr., age 77, of Oil Trough, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. Born on November 2, 1948, in Newport to William David McIntosh and Ruth Virginia (Hagan) McIntosh, he grew up with a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and community values. William spent his entire life working on the family farm, where he developed a lifelong respect for the land and those who tend it.

William was a dedicated and influential member of the Cedar Ridge school system for many years, where he touched the lives of countless students, colleagues, and families. Known for his welcoming nature, he cherished family gatherings and always made sure those around him felt loved and included.

A passionate history buff and avid firearms collector, William enjoyed sharing his knowledge and stories with everyone. He found great joy in traveling, especially going on cruises, and was a proud Arkansas Razorback fan, never missing a chance to support his favorite team.

William was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his brother, Donald Hagan McIntosh, and his sister, Norma Jane Bailey. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 54 years, Clara (Johnson) McIntosh; his son, Michael David McIntosh of Batesville; his daughters, Heather Michele Chadwick (Greg) of Oil Trough and Stacey Stombaugh (John) of Swifton; and his cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie Huynh, Marshell McIntosh, Kimberly McIntosh, Caiden Chadwick, Seth Powell, and Drayke Boncheff. He is also survived by a lifetime of friends and other dear family members, all of whom will miss his warmth and wisdom.

William’s legacy of love, community, and curiosity will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his lifelong friendships, and his enduring impact on the Cedar Ridge community.

Memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
