Donna (Stowe) Benson, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born on March 29, 1953, in Newark, Arkansas.
Mrs. Benson was a graduate of Kansas City High School. She then went on to attend Arkansas State University, where she earned her degree and became a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Benson dedicated many years to the nursing profession and spent the remainder of her career at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, where she retired. She was a member of the Piney Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
Mrs. Benson enjoyed painting and loved to play the piano. She had a special interest in writing true stories. Mrs. Benson was strong in giving, generous with her time, and believed deeply in donating and helping others. Above all, she was a very caring lady and will be remembered for her kindness and compassion.
Mrs. Benson is preceded in death by her son, Michael Hughes, and her sister, Maureen.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Benson, of the home; her daughter, Jackie McIntyre and husband, Patrick, of Hot Springs; her grandson, David McIntyre, of Hot Springs; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Benson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Hopewell Cemetery, with Bro. Paul Murphy officiating. Friends may visit at Jackson’s Funeral Home on Friday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
