Jackie Don Puckett, Sr., 79, of Batesville, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026.
He was born August 16, 1946, in Ajo, Arizona to Kenneth Eugene and Mabel (Brown) Puckett.
Jackie loved the United States. He enjoyed planning special trips with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife and children to special points of interest. Jackie was a big Razorbacks fan who loved to cook and be involved in family get-togethers. His favorite thing was being ”Poppy”. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry (Williams) Puckett of the home, one son, Jackie Don Puckett, Jr. ”J.J.”(April); one daughter, Janette Raspberry ”Jan” (William) of Kennett, Missouri; two sisters, Beverly Reasons, Carol Rutledge (Calvin); one aunt, Dorothy Shaffer (Jim); six grandchildren, Hannah Lamb (Chipper), McKenzie Puckett, Joseph Puckett, Jack Puckett, Blake Raspberry, and Olivia Raspberry, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at Oaklawn Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Allen Brown officiating under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
