Larry Ray Branscum, 81, passed away on January 18, 2026, in Judsonia, AR. He was born on October 8, 1944, in Pleasant Plains, AR, to the late Raider Branscum and Elizabeth (Thomas) Branscum. Larry enjoyed being outside, whether it was growing flowers or a garden, or even just mowing the lawn. He also loved fishing and the beach. Above all else, he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all those blessed to know him.
Larry is survived by his wife, Regeina Matheney; step daughters, Mechell Crymes (Blaine) of Mountain View, AR and Kristy Chastain of Pleasant Plains, AR; grandsons, Trace Branscum (Laney) of Cave City, AR and Marshall Branscum (Ariya) of Pleasant Plains, AR; granddaughters, Makayla Chastain of Pleasant Plains, AR, Laney Angeles (Ethan) of Batesville, AR, Shelbi Davis (Richard) of Mountain View, AR, and Sean Gilbert of Pleasant Plains, AR; great-grandchildren, Bo Gilbert of Pleasant Plains, AR, Olivia Davis, Oaklynn Davis, and Octavia Davis of Mountain View, AR and Axtyn Angeles of Batesville, AR; and nephew, Robert Newton (Tracie) of Flippin, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Branscum Newton; and son, Yancy Branscum.
Willis Funeral Service will host a visitation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5 PM until 7 PM. The graveside service will be on Thursday, January 22, 2026, beginning at 10 AM at Putman Cemetery in Pleasant Plains, AR. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Newton, Trace Branscum, Marshall Branscum, Clay Womack, Shane Martin, and Matt Foster.
