Joe Albert Anderson was born on January 27, 1934, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Joe Caswell Anderson and Esta Lee Stuart Anderson. He departed this life on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Joe worked as a hospital engineer and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from December 1, 1955, to November 27, 1957. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Southside, where he attended regularly.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Leanne Roberts of Oklahoma; his son, Joe N. Anderson of Ohio; and his grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Clint Lawson of Virginia; Peyton and Jody King of Oklahoma; Hayley Lepley of Oklahoma; Natalie and Patrick Knowles of Colorado; Joe William Anderson and fiancée Lindsey Brocklebank of Virginia; Joseph Lepley of Oklahoma; Joshua and Kylen Anderson of Colorado; and Lyndsay and Jamie Galyen of Virginia. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Beckett and Ariella Lawson of Virginia, and Logan and Hudson Galyen of Virginia.
He also leaves behind two sisters, Anita Baker of Oklahoma and June Wooten of Arkansas; and three brothers, Jerry Anderson of Hawaii, James Anderson of Tennessee, and John “E” Anderson of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Anderson; his son, Jerry Anderson; his brother, JC Anderson; his sisters, Linda Dollins and Laurie Liszewski; and his parents, Joe and Esta Anderson.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd, in Southside, with Bro. Michael Conyers officiating.
Interment will follow the service in the Linwood Cemetery in Paragould.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service.
